She’s an experienced communicator.

Rachael previously worked at BCW Global, where she was a part of the award-winning 2020 national communications campaign that emphasized the importance of the U.S. census and worked with national partners to encourage all U.S. residents to respond. Throughout her career, Rachael has created and implemented public relations strategies for companies in various industries including technology, finance and mental health. In 2017, she also led communications efforts for the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals Network.

Rachael understands the importance of connecting with people.

Her background in community relations as the founder of BeGreatDC, a local nonprofit dedicated to health and wellness, youth education and community engagement, demonstrates her passion to connect with people. Under her leadership in 2020, BeGreatDC responded to the pandemic by raising nearly $10,000 worth of funding and resources to support local COVID-19 relief efforts, including providing students with technology for virtual learning.

Rachael earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication from Old Dominion University. She’s also a 2013 alumna of the Washington Media Institute, where she developed a mature understanding of media relations while studying the intersection of communications, politics and journalism. She was honored as a 2020 Community Changemaker Award by the Greater Washington Catalogue for Philanthropy.
