GISELLE VARRE

Communications Assistant

Giselle has a passion for learning, which is why she takes on a lot more than coursework while at Butler University. She stays active on campus as Director of her student-run communications agency and Vice President of the Black Student Union (BSU), and off campus, she recently completed a year-long internship with the Indiana Supreme Court. She will graduate this fall with a bachelor’s degree in strategic communications.

WHY GISELLE BELONGS IN THE ROOM

01

She is a team player.

Giselle motivates colleagues to do their best, which is a skill she learned as the director of the student-run communications agency. It’s all hands on deck when creating great work for a client!

02

She is a collaborator.

When she transferred to Butler, Giselle hit the ground running and joined the Black Student Union’s executive board. Working with the BSU has allowed her to spearhead efforts to work with other on-campus organizations, local Black-owned businesses and other BSU’s from surrounding universities. These connections have been crucial to the growth and foothold of the organization on Butler’s campus.

03

She leaves things better than she found them.

Giselle approached her internship at the Indiana Supreme Court with determination and quickly learned how to efficiently and effectively navigate communications in the State government. As her parting gift, she created a “how-to” guide for future interns to get them up to speed and hit the ground running.
