Co-founder and Partner

Inspired by a movie he saw at age 16, Ron wanted to be a player in Washington political communications. A quick look at his career shows he definitely got his wish.

He’s currently the only person to have ever served as lead spokesman for both the Senate and House of Representatives. He was a top strategic communications advisor for a Presidential Transition Team, helping cabinet nominees get through the confirmation process. He was the top communications strategist for successful SCOTUS nominee Neil Gorsuch. Ron also served two Secretaries of Commerce as the head of public affairs. And his ability to deliver insightful political analysis has made him a frequent guest on national and international news programs. Those are just a few of many reasons why he’s spent the better part of a decade on Roll Call’s Fabulous Fifty list of Capitol Hill movers and shakers.

Ron’s track record in crisis comms makes him a sought-after partner for clients and a strong, unflappable leader for our team. He’s a brilliant strategist who knows the right thing to say in any situation, and is so GENUINE (we credit his midwestern upbringing) it’s no surprise Politico named him “one of the most popular communicators in Washington.”

Ron is on the Board of Visitors for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Political Science and has served as a Fellow at the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy.

WHY RON BELONGS IN THE ROOM

01

He’s helped fight—and win—some big fights.

Ron’s a battle-tested communicator who’s played a major role in debates on a variety of policy issues that affected millions of people. Ask him about his work spearheading a major communications campaign on shaping healthcare policy or leading a team from ROKK overseas to provide the international communications support for the Middle East peace process on short notice.

02

He knows how to handle a crisis.

Ron is a go-to for government officials in a crisis. He’s worked on responses for 9/11, Hurricane Katrina and others. Let him tell you about being communications lead for the nation’s response to the post-9/11 anthrax attacks.

03

He brings perspective, thick skin and a cool head to any situation.

No matter what’s happening or how intense the situation, Ron can thoughtfully analyze it, develop a communications strategy, craft a narrative and pull all the other pieces of the puzzle together to deliver on communications objectives.
