LINDSAY DEBROSSE
Communications Assistant

Lindsay is a writer, first and foremost. She will freely tell you that she’s funny, but not on paper. She is finishing her final semester at Emerson College, and has focused on marrying her major with her passion for issue advocacy. At ROKK Lindsay is a communications assistant, working with several client teams to deliver strategic, well-written communications across a variety of issue topics.
WHY LINDSAY BELONGS IN THE ROOM
She knows community is everything.
While in Boston, Lindsay has gained an understanding of advocacy and community, especially within marginalized communities on campus. After a series of hate incidents occurring around Boston, she lent a hand in cultivating events that uplifted communities that are often dismissed and marginalized. She believes it is important to show up for your people in the ways you can. It is imperative to our survival.
She gives others a voice.
Tapping into her creative skills, Lindsay has found a way to allow others to speak on their experiences. After serving in various positions in her Student Government Association, Lindsay has her finger on the pulse on what her peers need. With those skills and knowledge, Lindsay has created a podcast that centers the experiences of black women, and black queer students at predominantly white institutions.
