Luis Miranda is a veteran strategic communications consultant who advises corporate, political and non-profit clients on messaging and media engagement. Luis trains executives and Board Members around the country, helping them improve the way they communicate about their companies, organizations, and the issues they care about. He has developed messaging and strategies on issues such as U.S.-Cuba Policy for business and public interest organizations, and broadband access and data privacy for New America, among others.
He previously served as a communications advisor to President Barack Obama during his first term in the White House, where Luis was a spokesman for the President on issues ranging from the economy to border security. Luis also served as Communications Director for the Democratic Party during the 2016 presidential primaries and national conventions, leading messaging and managing nine Democratic Presidential primary debates, covered by hundreds of reporters across every platform. He is a veteran of five presidential campaigns and ran the regional communications program for then-DNC Chair Howard Dean’s 50-State Strategy, helping Democrats win control of Congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008.
