Zainab recently graduated from George Mason University, receiving a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Web Design. Zainab is passionate about making design inclusive and accessible while driving meaningful change and impact.
Before joining ROKK, Zainab worked as a graphic designer in various offices and a non-profit organization at George Mason University. She also held leadership roles within student organizations that support multiple communities, such as first-generation college students, South Asian, undocumented students, Asian Pacific American students, and student government.
Tapping into her unique perspectives and skillsets, Zainab’s insights and creative eye help clients realize and reach their goals. Zainab assists the creative team in crafting compelling creative spanning from Data Visualization to Marketing materials.

She is always a student.
Zainab is no stranger to a classroom. Wholly invested in learning new things, from learning new software skills to attending various workshops at her local library, Zainab is open-minded and curious. Actively seeking knowledge and skills in various subject areas is a pillar of her creativity. As a result, she approaches new challenges with an eager spirit while bringing in unique experiences and insight.
She brings a global view.
Through her identities as an immigrant from Sri Lanka and a first-generation college graduate, Zainab brings in a unique perspective from her own experiences. This unique perspective allows her to view and navigate problems and opportunities differently.
She’s a passionate leader.
At George Mason University, she led multiple organizations, including founding GMU’s first Sri Lanka Student Association, where she has served as President and Graphic Designer. She was also the Student Ambassador for the Center for Culture, Equity, and Empowerment.
