SHERRIN SMITH
Communications Assistant

Sherrin is the producer and host of the No Questions Asked podcast on Spotify, where she asks questions related to young adults’ livelihoods. Her topics include education, social justice, lifestyle, and more. Her inspiration for the podcast stemmed from the value of curiosity in life; a trait she believes is no longer prevalent amongst young adults.
Sherrin is a talented rising junior majoring in communications with a vibrant and artistic background at Alvernia University. On campus, Sherrin is preparing for her future by widening her skill sets in communications to become a communications specialist. She manages the men’s soccer team and designs their social media content. She is also a published journalist at her school’s newspaper, The Alvernian.
She brings her drive, creativity and endless talents to ROKK as a Communications Assistant. As a fledgling in the industry, her determination to learn and succeed shines throughout her ideas and accomplishments.
WHY SHERRIN BELONGS IN THE ROOM
She is always a great source of inspiration.
Sherrin combines her communications knowledge with minors in art and English. By having a background in these three areas, Sherrin can help verbally and visually create ideas for any given project. She has exemplified this in the creation of her university’s communications club, Wolfpack Media, and her podcast, No Questions Asked, that she created to delve into questions young adults should be asking.
She is a storyteller.
By attending a small school in the small city of Reading, PA, Sherrin has learned that sometimes the best stories are the ones in less traveled places. She has assisted local businesses, such as Hannah’s Hope and Safe Berks, share their life-changing impact on community members. On campus, Sherrin seeks out students and groups who are willing to share their stories for a different perspective to be told within the campus news cycle.
She is driven by determination.
Sherrin has always been one to stay ahead of the game when it comes to achieving her goals. This feeds into her eagerness to gain an abundance of knowledge in every environment she is placed in. Once an opportunity is presented to her, Sherrin puts in the hard work and dedication to fulfill its purpose while also taking away valuable lessons from it.
