MICHELLE ANDERSON
Senior Advisor – Recruitment

Michelle is the personification of polite persistence—a character trait (or defect, depending on which side of the discussion you’re on) that has been the catalyst for some of the most defining moments of her life. Like during her senior year of high school when she convinced the Honors Department chair at American University to give her a full scholarship—after all the financial aid awards were already allocated.
Michelle is a brand strategist with a rare ability to combine big picture thinking with roll-up-your-sleeves tactical execution. She helps ROKK grow through efficient, hard-working marketing and sales strategies, and a focus on recruiting and retaining the best talent in the marketplace. You can find her tackling everything from working with prospective clients, to building our content development and brand messaging to managing our social media and awards. No project is too large—or too small—for her to tackle.
WHY MICHELLE BELONGS IN THE ROOM
Growing businesses is her sweet spot.
Michelle is a flexible problem-solver and a constant learner. She thrives in fast, entrepreneurial environments where she can make sense from chaos, build strategies and processes in white space and get a few business wins doing it.
She specializes in complex strategic problem-solving.
While Michelle may have found her calling working with growing businesses, she also has decades of experience in financial services and healthcare, two industries that can be complex to navigate, and whose reputations with consumers demand nuanced and deeply strategic messaging solutions. This ability to dive deep has allowed her to work across a variety of organizations large and small to make a tangible business impact through marketing and branding.
She knows business owners inside and out.
Michelle spent 6 years at Capital One building a deep understanding of what makes them tick. Ask her about her work building and launching the SPARK Business credit card.
GOOD TO KNOW
Streaming is definitely the future of programming. Who has time for cable?
Dogs “all the way.” Michelle and her husband are serial rescuers and currently have a spirited blue pit bull in addition to their two human children.
Will probably go the way of Snapchat—fascinating, but ultimately hard to monetize for brands. One girl’s opinion.
Michelle’s been married twice. To the same guy.
