JULIA FLACK
Communications Assistant

Julia recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in government and political communication studies. In addition to political communication, Julia’s time in college as well as her experience in other roles has grown her skills in academic research, event planning and developing ad campaigns.
WHY JULIA BELONGS IN THE ROOM
She knows the power of active listening.
As a research assistant at the intersection of religion and politics, Julia witnessed passionate conversations that taught her the power of active listening to ensure all parties felt heard. Listening to others can be a powerful tool for connecting with people who hold opposing views and can pave the way toward collaboration.
She is adaptable.
After working as a camp counselor for five summers, Julia learned that the best work gets done when people work together. Each day came with a new set of challenges, yet her positive attitude and strong work ethic enabled her to collaborate effectively and deliver outstanding results.
She thinks outside the box.
Julia is an innovative communicator who creates messages that grab a reader’s attention. She isn’t afraid to discard traditional approaches and propose daring new ideas to reach a wider audience, as seen in her time at the Texas Legislature drafting speeches and at a PR firm creating successful ad campaigns.
